Athletic FC

Orchard Timber Products are the official shirt sponsor of Forfar Athletic FC and are proud to say we are the longest serving main sponsor in the whole of Scottish Football!

Forfar Athletic Football Club was founded in 1885, defeating Dundee Our Boys 1-0 in the first ever match on 16th August 1885. They were admitted into the Scottish Football League in the 1921-22 Season and have stayed there ever since. 

Nicknamed ‘The Loons’, Forfar Athletic currently compete in Scottish League Two, a division they won in 1994/5 and finished runners-up three times in 1996/7, 2009/10 and in 2021/22. They were Scottish League One winners in 1983/4 and have lifted the Forfarshire Cup an impressive 9 times in their history.

The home of Forfar Athletic Football Club is The Alpha Projects Stadium in the North End of Forfar, less than 2 miles from Orchard Timber Products head office.

This is the 18th Year of Orchard Timber’s sponsorship of Forfar Athletic, one of the longest running sponsorships in British Football. Long may it continue.
